5 Months+

It's been five months since I've posted last. For those of you who care (all 3 or so of you), my apologies. I've been busy, and got a little blog-bored, to be honest.

5 month recap: For those of you who don't know, I was married to my bride, Natalie, last month on March 16th. We were engaged on December 18th and put the wedding together in the following three months. Great decision, if I might say, and we're so glad we're already married instead of having to wait until sometime this summer. We actually met 4 years ago on a double blind date, and neither of us were interested in each other, so two years went by before we crossed paths again. We were "reaquainted" at the wedding of two of our dear friends a week after we both graduated from college in May 2005. I was an usher, she was a bridesmaid. The rest is history.

Through travels through the Middle East for 3+ months (me), and bouts of post-college new jobs we didn't like (us), fights against mono and tonsilitis that wouldn't go away (her, and I know what you're thinking, but it wasn't the case), longings for a church family and church home that was hard to find for a while (us), different jobs we both really like (us), and other crazy happenings over the span of a year and a half after we moved up to Tulsa (seperately)....we started to really love each other and decided to become husband and wife. And since the wedding when people ask "so how's married life been treating you", the main thing that comes to mind is...it's not good, it's grand.

So, I'm married now and just really, really happy.

I also closed on a little house (actually the same day I proposed) and we're still moving into it. It's in the "mid-town" area just shy of downtown in Tulsa.

Other than that, we're just trucking along trying to figure out how to live with each other and continually show grace to each other. I'm still at BOK in commercial lending and she's a 5th grade math & science teacher here in T-town.

That's about it. And I'll start posting more now, I promise.
